Privacy policy

LykkeOS is a private, non-commercial web application used by a single household, Familien Lykke, at www.lykkelib.com. It has no public sign-up; only family members with an invited Google account can log in.

What data LykkeOS collects

• Google account basics — when a family member signs in with Google, LykkeOS receives their name, e-mail address and profile picture. This is used only to verify that the account belongs to an invited family member and to show who is signed in.
• Google Calendar data — if a member explicitly connects their Google Calendar, LykkeOS reads and writes events in that calendar to keep the shared family calendar in sync.
• Content the family creates — calendar events, lists, wishes and budget entries created inside the app.

How the data is used and stored

All data is stored in a database on the family's own self-hosted server in Norway. Data is used exclusively to provide the features described on the home page — authentication, the shared calendar, lists, budget and service status. LykkeOS shows no advertising, performs no tracking or analytics for third parties, and never sells, rents or shares personal data with anyone.

LykkeOS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices and contact

A member can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from their account page, which stops all calendar synchronisation, and can revoke LykkeOS's access entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have data corrected or deleted, contact the administrator at [email protected].
